The British photographer rose to fame for his monochrome images which he takes when his muse was in their most relaxed setting, enabling each of them to show their vulnerability.

Unlike others, Gotts works alone without assistants helping him, this has enabled him to build relationships with each subject and refrains from editing the images after in order to show the loyalty he has to realism and the individual.

“My subjects either look miffed or quirky”, explains Gotts. “This comes about as my shots happen during a conversation we are having at the time; so, whether we are having an intense chat or are in the middle of a rude joke… I am capturing that decisive moment in time”.

CEO of Maddox Gallery group, John Russo comments on this exhibition; “Andy’s ability to capture an array of personalities in their most raw and naturally human form is testament to both his skill as an MBE honoured fine art photographer and his talent with people.”
